To hedge Aldi against strong competitor campaigns during the highly competitive Q4 season we used competitors' TV reach as a programmatic trigger signal to activate other video inventory in near time. As a result, Aldi was able to save 30% of its TV budget as a reserve for quick responses to the competition and made significant gains in both brand value (AdRecall + 16%) and market share (+20%).
